Stetson Wright makes history while winning Round 2 in bull riding


LAS VEGAS – Add another line to the ever-growing impressive resume of Stetson Wright.
Wright, with his 88-point winning bull ride on Dakota Rodeo’s Pookie Holler, became the youngest cowboy in PRCA history to surpass the $2 million dollar mark in career earnings.
Wright, who is 23 years-old and 240 days, upped his unofficial career earnings to $2,050,520.

Star Kaycee Feild continues to work his NFR magic in Round 1

LAS VEGAS – Kaycee Feild left the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo after becoming the PRCA’s all-time leader in bareback riding world titles with six.
A year later, he shows no signs of slowing down.
Feild had an 87.5-point ride on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Bronc Riding Nation to win Round 1 of the 2022 Wrangler NFR presented by Teton Ridge before 16,929 spectators Thursday at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The 2022 ESP Holiday Series presented by Arthramid®Vet kicked off with FEI competition on Thursday at Wellington International. The $37,000 IDA Development Grand Prix Qualifier CSI4*, the highlight class of the day, saw an opening field of 47 elite contenders step into the International Arena to compete for a place in Saturday night’s $216,000 Holiday & Horses Grand Prix CSI4* presented by Arthramid®Vet. In a competitive jump-off, Roberto Teran Tafur (COL) and Dez’ Ooktoff saved the best for last and galloped straight to the top of the leaderboard.

The Stephenville, Texas, cowgirl captured her inaugural breakaway roping world championship after taking care of business Wednesday at the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Teton Ridge.
Angelone, who came into the NFBR with a $37,009 lead in the world standings, kept her grip on her lead to claim the coveted title at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center.

A total of 113 riders and drivers from 21 nations will be taking part in the 61st Concours Hippique International de Genève (CHIG), to be held at Palexpo on 7-11 December. Appearing at the event’s many jumping, indoor cross-country and driving competitions will be an array of Olympic, world and European champions, guaranteeing some superb entertainment.


LAS VEGAS – Shelby Boisjoli arrived at the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Teton Ridge Tuesday with nothing to lose and that is exactly how she roped.

Coming into the event sixth in the world standings, the Stephenville, Texas, cowgirl trailed world standings leader Martha Angelone by $44,745.

While in Oklahoma City for the NRHA Futurity, one of the Association’s most accomplished riders, Kelle Smith, passed away.

Kelle was fierce in everything she did, and that tenacity helped her win countless titles, including two NRHA Futurity Non Pro Championships. On Sunday, she competed on her horse, See Ya Seven, and advanced to yet another NRHA Futurity Finals.

Madrid is a happy hunting ground for Julien Epaillard. The French rider came out on top in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League qualifier twelve months ago with Billabong du Roumois, and today he did it all over again with another 10-year-old, the extraordinary mare Caracole de la Roque.
At the 2021 Spanish fixture he was on a roll throughout the week before recording that victory and this year he was on flying form once more, winning Friday’s qualifying competition and then trampling the opposition into submission this afternoon. He only had six opponents to fend off last time around, today there were 15 through to the jump-off. But none of the rest could match the turn of foot and accuracy of his classy mare who might have been even quicker but for a momentary safety-check halfway around the jump-off course.
