Czechowicz and CSG Magnifique Gun clinch the first IRHA Open Derby Championship for Poland!
The 67.000-added euro IRHA/NRHA Open Derby finals wrapped up the 2019 edition the show open 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-year old horses. Once the last horse-rider combination left the show arena, three of the four Open Championships were conquered by two European professionals in their early 20s: Lucasz Czechowicz of Poland and Nico Sicuro of Italy.
Saving the best for last, Carlo Ambrosini and Gunnalittlestep conquer the 38,000-added IRHA Non Pro Derby
Gunnalittlestep (NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire Gunnatrashya x Gay Jays Llittle Step), owned by Ambrosini Quarter Horses ASD, made the Level (L)4 and L3 Non Pro European Futurity finals with Paolo Ambrosini in the saddle. A few days before the IRHA Derby, Paolo decided to let his son, Carlo, show him. With the 4-year-old gelding between the reins, the 19-year-old Italian rider posted the highest score in the L4 Non Pro qualifier with a 217.5.

The 2019 edition of the Euro 67.000-added Italian Reining Horse Association (IRHA) Derby opened the arena on Monday, May 20, to the Open and Non Pro go-round. The Open division counted 104 entries across the four levels

NRHA Board of Directors Vote to Create Category 13
The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Executive Committee and Board of Directors convened on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 to share and discuss the thoughts and concerns of the membership regarding how the Run for a Million Invitational will affect NRHA Lifetime Earnings (LTE). The board unanimously voted in favor of creating a new category so that the earnings from the Run for a Million Invitational will not count towards LTE and NRHA Million Dollar status.

Vanlandingham and Pieper Share the Win and Make history at NRBC
Draw 25 in a field of 36 finalists in the second section of the NRBC Open Classic finals, Jason Vanlandingham and his 2018 National Reining Horse Association Futurity Champion A Vintage Smoke marked a scorching 227.5. Three horses later, Nathan Piper and Patriot, also rode to a 227.5 and, for the first time in the NRBC’s history, two riders would opt to share the Level 4 Open Championship, with each taking home $63,000.
