ARHFA events combine judged and timed criteria to identify the world’s most talented young rope horses. It’s designed to showcase the ability of 4-, 5- and 6-year-old rope horses to make runs executed with the precision of a show horse and the smooth speed of top timed-event contenders.
All money earned at ARHFA events is tabulated on a horse’s official record, which directly impacts the horse’s value, producer Jay Wadhams says.
“With our judged and timed format, if they’ve won money at our events, you know it’s a good horse,” he said. “I think this is a great way to showcase the amount of money people can win, at both our event and the APHA World Championship Show.”
