Riding SS Party Rockin (Ruf Lil Magnum x Xtra Tartis Voodoo), a stallion owned by Zeidelhof Reining Horses and bred by Silver Spurs Equine, Zehetbauer performed to the top score of 217.5 taking home first place honors. “I’m so happy with my horse; I knew that he was special as he is so talented and super kind, though sometimes he tries too much. Tonight he was really good and I’m obviously very happy,” she said about the stallion she purchased from the pasture from Silver Spurs Equine under the careful eye of head trainer Brett Stone.
The 19-year-old Austrian rider also claimed Reserve honors posting a 214.5 score aboard SS Gunnafrezeya (NRHA Three Million Dollar Sire SG Frozen Enterprize x Gunnaoutfoxya), a mare owned by Zeidelhof Reining Horses and bred by Silver Spurs Equine. “We purchased her from the NRHA/Markel Futurity Sales as a yearling and she is also a great horse I look forward to showing next year.”
Taking home both the L3 and L2 Championships with a 213 score was Italian Antonio Zagaria and Whizkey For Zag (Dun It For Whizkey x Gun At The Gate), a mare he owns and bred. “Having won two levels here, especially with a homebred horse, is pretty special,” said the Italian rider who won all the levels of the IRHA Non Pro Futurity 20 years ago. “It’s a dream come true and quite honestly I was hoping that with this mare we would bring home a Championship.” Zagaria was quick to thank his trainer Luca Piccolo of Torello Quarter Horses for the great job done breaking and training his horse.
Winning the L1 with a 212.5 score was Silvia Biagini and her owned and bred RTR Karmacash (NRHA Three Million Dollar Sire Lil Joe Cash x Who Whiz Kid). The pair also placed second in the L3 and L2 divisions and, for the Italian rider who trains with Silvia Venezia, though winning was the goal, bringing home a Championship as well as two Reserve Championships was unexpected. “She is a wonderful horse, ever since she was born at our place since she is out of my mare, and did so well both in the go round and in the finals. She is so solid and I cannot but thank my trainer for the work she did on her and with me.”
Francesca Giulia Solbiati and SM Taris Heart Force (Maytheforcebewhizyou x Taris Chex Catalyst), owned and bred by Massimo Solbiati, rode to the L1 Reserve Championship.
