The American Quarter Horse Association has cancelled the 2020 AQHA Convention, due to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. The convention was originally scheduled for March 13-16 at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The cancellation of the 2020 AQHA Convention follows the rise in confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the United States and recent announcements of organizations and companies initiating travel bans worldwide.
American Quarter Horse Association has members in more than 100 countries around the world. For that reason, it’s necessary that key forms are translated to languages beyond English and Spanish. AQHA is proud to introduce a new multilingual resource library of essential forms for international and domestic members to utilize in their language.

The goal of the meeting was to close the contested topic of studbook of origin for the American Quarter Horse.

The Small Fry division is a fierce competition for high honors. The competitors? Talented horses with dedicated riders, all under the age of 9 years old. The Small Fry division includes classes in Showmanship, Western Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, and Trail. As such, it is considered a forbidden substance by APHA and is prohibited for use in horses competing in APHA-approved events, per rule SC-085.C.1 in the APHA Rule Book.
