Moreira Capitalizes on Decision to Come Stateside, Wins Round 1 of the Ground-Breaking 2020 Gwinnett Invitational

For the second week in a row, on an unprecedented night best described as “surreal,” a rookie put up a big ride to move up the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) world standings.
Living the American dream after arriving in the country less than three months ago, Mauricio Gula Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, Brazil) earned more money on this night than his entire 2019 earnings. Moreira got his fellow riders on their feet, as the only others in attendance, with an 87.75-point conquering of Freakin Wicked (David Rodeo Ranch/Fogle).

The 2020 Bad Boy Mowdown was sweet redemption for Brazilian Ramon De Lima (Rio Branco, Brazil). 
The rider who was cut from PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) top tour at this event on year ago put up a walk-off 90.5-point ride to punctuate a perfect 3-for-3 performance in Simmons Bank Arena to win his first event of 2020 and soar to No. 8 in the world.

Vieira Collects 20 World Points to Close No. 1 Jose Vitor Leme’s Lead

Keeping his early-season winning ways going, Brazilian João Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Brazil) took home the Round 1 win at the 2020 Bad Boy Mowdown inside Simmons Bank Arena, on the banks of the Arkansas River. The veteran Vieira was able to make it to the 8-second whistle aboard Crossover (GT Bucking Bulls) in section six of action on night one of two. Masterfully conquering his bovine counterpart, Vieira was marked 89.5 points for his efforts, good enough to hold off Colten Jesse (Konawa, Oklahoma) by 2.25 points.
