World Champions Rodeo Alliance reveals One Million Dollar Triple Crown of Rodeo Bonus

The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) today announced the most athlete-friendly incentive in the history of rodeo: the WCRA Triple Crown of Rodeo (TCR). The TCR is an annual bonus that will pay $1,000,000 to any one athlete or collection of athletes whom win first place in any three consecutive WCRA $1,000,000 Major Rodeos. Two of the $1,000,000 WCRA Major Rodeos next year will be coupled with a Professional Bull Riders (PBR) elite series event in a major U.S. market while three TCR events in 2020 will be broadcast on CBS Sports.

Jose Vitor Leme Reclaims No. 2 Spot in World Standings with Win at Window Rock

WINDOW ROCK, Arizona – As a raucous crowd looked on from Dean C. Jackson Memorial Arena at the kickoff of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour (PWVT) second half, 2017 Rookie of the Year Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas Do Rio Pardo, Brazil) turned in a flawless 2-for-2 performance to win the annual Bucking On The Rez 2019, presented by the Navajo Nation Department of Agriculture.

Young Gun Dalton Kasel Wins Round 1 of Jack Daniel’s Music City Knockout, presented by Cooper Tires

Collecting 125 world points for his second round win of the season, Kasel cracks into the Top 35 rising from No. 37 to No. 33.
Bringing the raucous crowd inside Bridgestone Arena to its feet, young gun Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) made a splash competing in his first-ever PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast Major, winning Round 1 of the Jack Daniel’s Music City Knockout, presented by Cooper Tires.

In a special round that saw five 90-point rides, 2017 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Champion Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Montana) and 2019 Rookie of the Year contender Daylon Swearingen (Piffard, New York) tied for the 15/15 Bucking Battle win at the Express Ranches Classic, presented by Osage Casino and Hotel, after each was marked a monstrous 92 points.

Reigning Gold Medalists Set to Defend Their Titles at the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo

It was a good night for reigning gold medalists at the Komatsu Equipment Days of '47 Cowboy Games and Rodeo presented by Zions Bank in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night with all three advancing for a chance at yet another gold medal. Three of last year’s gold medalists competed tonight and they didn’t disappoint the Utah fans. Looking to add more gold to their resumes are steer wrestler Justin Shaffer, saddle bronc rider Cody DeMoss and barrel racer Hailey Kinsel.

The Women of Rodeo Brought the Heat at Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo on Monday

It was a hot night at the Komatsu Equipment Days of '47 Cowboy Games and Rodeo presented by Zions Bank in Salt Lake City on Monday night both in temperature and rodeo action.
    An 18-time WPRA World Champion Jackie Crawford turned in a blistering fast run in the new event of women’s breakaway on Monday night at the Days of ’47 Arena. Crawford of Stephenville, Texas, has never had a chance to compete for an Olympic-style medal and would definitely be a highlight of her storied career if she could leave Salt Lake City as the winner. She stopped the clock in 2.95 seconds to win the performance on night No. 3.

Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo gets underway Friday, July19

The Komatsu Equipment Days of '47 Cowboy Games and Rodeo presented by Zions Bank in Salt Lake City will kickoff rodeo action on Friday, July 19 with some of the top names in professional rodeo.
A total of 288 competitors will take their shot at a share of the over $1 million in prize money and a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal that will be awarded on Wednesday, July 24. There will be 32 competitors in each of the following events: bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, ladies breakaway roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
