KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In front of a boisterous Kansas City crowd Friday evening inside the T-Mobile Center, the race for the 2022 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Championship reached a new level of intensity as four of the world’s Top 5-ranked riders delivered scores. After delivering the night’s lone 90-point score late in Round 1, Kyler Oliver (Roy, Utah) was unrivaled, solidifying his No. 4 rank and climbing within 76.16 points of reclaiming the No. 1 standing.

CHICAGO – On a snowy Friday evening in the greater Chicago area, Ezekiel Mitchell (Rockdale, Texas) was red-hot as the 12th PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast event in the Windy City got underway. As one of 13 riders to cover their opening-round draw, Mitchell won Round 1 of the tour stop inside Allstate Arena, surging to an early lead at the PBR Tractor Supply Co. Invitational.

NEW YORK CITY – As the 15th iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast event inside Madison Square Garden got underway on a snowy Friday evening in New York City, 2016 PBR World Champion Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) was unrivaled. Delivering his first 90-point ride of the season, Davis won Round 1 and surged to a commanding lead at the PBR Monster Energy Buckoff at the Garden, presented by Ariat, the first PBR Major of the 2022 season.

SAN ANTONIO – For the second time in the 2021 season, 2019 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Rookie of the Year Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) rode his way to a perfect 3-for-3 performance and another Unleash The Beast (UTB) tour win, this time in front of a home-state crowd inside AT&T Center in San Antonio.
Punctuating his perfrect weekend, Kasel registered the second-highest score in PBR history in the championship round, a 96.75-point ride aboard Woopaa (Barker Bucking Bulls/Hookin’ W Ranch).

LAS VEGAS – Team Las Vegas began Challenge Day 3 of PBR’s new televised team tournament with a bang, riding to its second shutout victory and improving to 3-0 in Division A. Reigning PRCA All-Around Champion and Captain Stetson Wright (Milford, Utah) headlined his team’s dominating win inside the Pendleton Whisky Let ‘Er Buck Saloon at South Point Arena in Las Vegas with an 87.5-point trip aboard Dynamite Cap (Hart Cattle Co./Randy Wood). After delivering his first qualified ride of the uniquely formatted PBR Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by U.S. Border Patrol on Saturday evening, Chase Dougherty’s (Canby, Oregon) momentum continued. The Oregon cowboy contributed the team’s second score, an 87.25-point ride aboard Silent Night (Hart Cattle Co./Randy Wood). The 174.75-0 win allowed Team Las Vegas to maintain their No. 2 rank in Division A. They trail No. 1 Team Cooper Tires, also with three wins, by 324 points in the overall event aggregate. Team Las Vegas will next go head-to-head against Team Can-Am on Challenge Day 4 on Friday, June 12. After a hard-fought loss on Challenge Day 1 when it was narrowly bested by Team Union Home Mortgage by 79.75 points, Team Wrangler has been on a downhill skid, shut out in its final two games. Ranked last in the Division A standings, the contingent captained by Colten Jesse (Konawa, Oklahoma) will look to right its course and advance to the championships in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, when the league will welcome back fans to the arena, when they next face off against Division A’s No. 1-ranked roster, Team Cooper Tires.
