This year's Hall of Fame class includes four men and three horses.

Induction into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors bestowed by the American Quarter Horse Foundation. This year, we are inducting three horses and four men in the Class of 2023: Harley D Zip, High Brow Cat, Okie Leo, Ralph Seekins, Leverne Perry, G. R. Carter Jr. and Clark Bradley.

XIT Ranch Acquires Renowned Stallion Kit Kat Sugar

CHANNING, TEXAS – The historic XIT Ranch has acquired 2008 stallion Kit Kat Sugar. The ranch, based in Channing, Texas, with equine operations in La Veta, Colorado, once relegated to the history pages, has had a rebirth in recent years, led by third great grandson of original ranch founder and owner John V. Farwell, Drew Knowles, who is focused on breeding the highest quality cattle and Quarter Horses.

2020 NCHA Futurity Daily Update

A New Standard
The 2020 NCHA Futurity Sales concluded on Saturday, December 12, as the new standard by which all other cutting horse sales will now be measured.
Held live daily, beginning on December 7, at  Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth, and with online bidding also available, the sale sessions shattered the 2014 overall all-time record average of $27,936 by an increase of 20%, for a new all-time record of $34,504 with completed sales of 83.5%.

Okies Win First-Ever Cactus #10.5 for $61,500 During Wrangler BFI Week Presented by YETI

Good friends Mark Collins and Max Vincent were moved to tears and long hugs after their $61,500 win in the first-ever 10.5 roping during Wrangler BFI Week presented by Yeti, held at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
“To be able to drive two hours from the house and win life-changing money is incredible,” said Collins, who owns a lumber yard and hardware store in tiny Leedey.

Fazenda Campanario in Laguna Carapa, Brazil, is rewarded with the 2020 AQHA International Best Remuda award.

For 125 years, the land at Fazenda Campanario in Laguna Carapa, Brazil, has been cultivated for agriculture. For the past 40 years, one of the ranch’s focuses has been raising quality American Quarter Horses for ranch work, and today it is rewarded with the American Quarter Horse Association International Best Remuda award.

On Sunday, March 8, riding Wiskeemakesmefriskee LTE $28,547, by Smooth As A Cat, Lance Cooper, Weatherford, Tex., scored 219.5 points to win the Cattlemens' 4-Year-Old Non-Pro Derby. Ryan Rapp, Weatherford, Tex., scored 219 on Too Suen To Drive LTE $18,048, by Boon Too Suen, for the reserve championship, while Brad Wilson, Lone Grove, Okla., aboard Sumkinda Kitkat LTE $5,497, by Kit Kat Sugar, placed third with 218.
