KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In front of a boisterous Kansas City crowd Friday evening inside the T-Mobile Center, the race for the 2022 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Championship reached a new level of intensity as four of the world’s Top 5-ranked riders delivered scores. After delivering the night’s lone 90-point score late in Round 1, Kyler Oliver (Roy, Utah) was unrivaled, solidifying his No. 4 rank and climbing within 76.16 points of reclaiming the No. 1 standing.

Veteran Brazilian Wallace Vieira de Oliveira Wins PBR Velocity Tour Event in Casper to Inch Closer to 2020 PBR World Finals Berth in Arlington, Texas

Now within 21.84 points of the Top 35, Vieira is on the precipice of competing at the first-ever PBR World Finals to be held inside AT&T Stadium on Nov. 12-15
With just four regular-season PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) events remaining in 2020, the action was fierce on Friday night for the first edition of the PBR Casper Invitational, driven by Wyoming Ford Dealers. Riders not only jockeyed for a coveted position to compete at the expansion series’ season culminating event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Nov. 6-7, but also a more highly sought after berth to the 2020 PBR World Finals, slated to debut in Arlington, Texas, inside the iconic AT&T Stadium on Nov. 12-15.

Continuing his seemingly unstoppable form seen thus far in 2020, current PBR (Professional Bull Riders) world No. 1 Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio, Pardo, Brazil) delivered a flawless 2-for-2 performance inside a pulsating, closed-to-fans, made-for-TV bullriding set within the Pendleton Whisky Let ‘Er Buck Saloon at South Point Arena to lead Team Cooper Tires to victory Friday evening during Challenge Day 1 of the PBR Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by U.S. Border Patrol. Leme rode Squeeze Box (Hodges/Shuler) for 84.25 points and Livin Lucky (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) for 84.75 points, propelling his contingent’s dominant 336.25-87 victory over Team Can-Am. Alongside Captain Leme, six-time PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) Champion Sage Kimzey (Strong City, Oklahoma), three-time PBR Global Cup qualifier Stetson Lawrence (Williston, North Dakota) and young gun Mauricio Gula Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, Brazil) also recorded scores.
