Lyon, November 3 – The 2024 NRHA European Derby concluded on Sunday at the Equita Lyon International show in Lyon, France. Alongside NRHA ancillary action, qualifiers were held for the 2025 The Run For A Million (TRFAM) $50,000-Added Non Pro Championship and Youth Reining Championship, featuring riders from five European countries. These events will take place in Las Vegas on August 11–16, 2025.

If the Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International were a kingdom, there is no doubt that Germany's Isabell Werth would be its Queen! Since the launch of the FEI Dressage World Cup stage in Lyon in 2009, the German rider had already won this major event in the Rhône-Alpes region six times. And today, she made it seven! Riding DSP Quantaz, the star of dressage in Lyon won this World Cup stage for the seventh time (in fifteen years) in front of an adoring crowd.

The FEI Driving World Cup™ Presented by Laiterie de Montaigu at Longines Equita Lyon

Lyon will play host to seven of the world's most talented drivers who will be battling it out in the first leg of the 2024-2025 FEI Driving World Cup™ season. As Australia's Boyd Exell, his long-time rival will be absent, Dutch driver Ijsbrand Chardon, is hoping to have a win in Lyon. But that's without counting on young Belgian driver Dries Degrieck, who has already beaten the discipline's two leading drivers in Leipzig this year.
The drivers are keen to have a victory in Lyon. And the absence of Boyd Exell, the four-time winner of the FEI Driving World Cup™ presented by Laiterie de Montaigu, will spur them on even more.

2023 NRHA European Derby: Horses and Riders Are Set and Ready To Go in Lyon

Lyon, October 31 — Equita Lyon has once again set the stage for the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Derby. Open to 5-, 6-, 7-, and 8-year-old horses entered in the NRHA Nomination Program, the 13th edition offers a total of Euro 267.661 added money (subject to change in nominations) and will be held on November 1-5 in Lyon, France.

It was certainly no easy task to overcome the difficulties of the course designed by Gregory Bodo for this Grand Prix Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM Lyon 2019. In particular, the two combinations - the triple at number 7 and the double vertical at number 9 - gave the 40 riders who had qualified for this class a hard time. Several top riders got caught out, such as Simon Delestre and Pénélope Leprevost, who made mistakes on the triple with Hermes Ryan and Vancouver from Lanlore, and the German rider Daniel Deusser, who had a 4-point penalty on the double.
