Equita Lyon 2024: Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Clash of Champions

Winners from all the medal categories from the recent Paris 2024 Olympic Games, whether they took home gold, silver, bronze, individual or team will be represented in the ring at Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International from 30 October to 3 November. No fewer than seven riders who won medals in Versailles this summer will be performing in Eurexpo's ring for the Western European League Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™’s third leg. Among them will be German rider and individual gold medallist Christian Kukuk and all the members of the French team who won the bronze medal: Simon Delestre, Julien Epaillard and Olivier Perreau. An exceptional line-up, with seven of the world's top ten riders taking part in what has become an unmissable event in Lyon. Star riders who won medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, experienced champions who rank among the best in the Longines World Rankings, and a young up-and-coming generation keen to establish themselves among the elite. It's a dream field for a show that will boast some superb sport and competitions.

Palm Beach Masters Announces Cancellation of Competition Series

The organizers of the Palm Beach Masters announced today they will no longer operate the Palm Beach Masters Series going forward due to ongoing and unforeseen lasting impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The Palm Beach Masters Series has hosted the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington since 2016 and has served as home to the U.S. leg of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Series since 2019.

In the final event of the 2020 Palm Beach Masters Series®, Israel’s Dani G. Waldman and new mount Queensland E took the win in the $300,000 CSI5* CP Palm Beach Masters Final Sunday at Deeridge Farms, conquering an especially challenging 1.60m track designed by Ireland’s Alan Wade.

When Emily Moffitt (GBR) walked the course for the $137,000 CSI5* Palm Beach Masters Classic, she was not feeling overly confident. Alan Wade’s (IRL) 1.55m track didn’t pull any punches, and Moffitt worried it was a big step up from her warm-up class with Tipsy du Terral two days earlier.

Stephen Moore and Team de Coquerie Go All Out to Win 36,600 CSI2* Bruins Tour Challenge

With 17 combinations returning for the jump-off in the CSI2* $36,600 Bruins Tour Challenge Friday night at Deeridge Farms, Stephen Moore (IRL) had time to watch some of his competition prior to entering the ring, and he came away with one conclusion: He’d need to pull out all the stops to win. He did just that, riding Team de Coquerie to the top of the final Sunset Challenge event of the 2020 Palm Beach Masters Series®.

Jordan Coyle and Eristov Take the $89,500 CSI5* Palm Beach Masters Qualifier

“It wasn’t really part of the plan; this season [we had] a few hiccups. This wouldn’t normally be [Eristov’s] class. The [$300,000 CSI5* CP Palm Beach Masters Final on Sunday] would be his class, but with everything that’s [been] happening, I thought I should go out today and try to win,” Coyle said.Win they did over a competitive, 56-horse field, which saw 22 riders jump clear by the end of the afternoon. Maximizing Eristov’s impressive stride, Coyle pulled out all the stops, dashing through the timers on 67.27 seconds, just ahead of Ben Maher (GBR) and Explosion W on 68.63 seconds, and Coyle’s countryman, Billy Twomey and Lady Lou, on 69.62.

It’s All About Girl Power as Team USA Takes Top Honors in the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of the United States of America in Wellington Followed by the All-Girl British Squad

At the close of Round 1 in the $230,000 CSIO5* Longings FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ USA at the Palm Beach Masters Series, Team USA was one of three nations sitting on a score of 8 along with Mexico and Israel. Once the sun went down on the beautiful Deeridge Farms, it took a dramatic jump-off between America’s Beezie Madden and Great Britain’s Alexandra Thornton to determine which team would ‘jump’ to the highest step of the podium.

Sydney Shulman and Villamoura  Race to Victory in the $36,600 CSIO5*  Palm Beach Masters Classic

Sydney Shulman (ISR) came into Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Week CSIO5*/CSI2* at the Palm Beach Masters Series® thinking that she'd already won.

The appearance marked Shulman's first CSIO5* competition at the venue, and she arrived hoping only for a positive experience. Saturday afternoon, the 25-year-old recorded a memorable victory, riding longtime mount Villamoura to the top of the $36,600 CSIO5* Palm Beach Masters Classic.

U.S. Squads Sweep CSI Youth Team Competitions at the Palm Beach Masters Series® for the Second Straight Year

Talent was in no short supply Saturday at Deeridge Farms, when athletes in CSI Youth Team Competitions for Children (ages 12-14), Juniors (14-18), and Young Riders (16-21) took to the Sand Arena with an enthusiastic gallery of fans, family, and support teams looking on. For the second consecutive year, U.S. athletes coached by Chef d’Equipes DiAnn Langer and Anne Kursinski put in a strong showing, earning gold medal wins across all three age groups.

McLain Ward & Noche de Ronda Earn a Valentine’s Day Victory in the  $213,300 Longines Grand Prix CSIO5*  at Deeridge Farms

McLain Ward (USA) and Noche de Ronda eclipsed a top-tier field of 45 in the $213,300 Longines Grand Prix CSIO5* on Valentine’s Day at Deeridge Farms. Fifth to return for the shortened track, Ward’s time of 37.86 seconds was enough to sneak past Billy Twomey (IRL) and Kimba Flamenco in second place, with Ward’s countrywoman Margie Engle and Dicas in third.

Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Week CSIO5/CSI2: Mändli (SUI) rides Vic des Cerisiers to victory in the CSIO5* $72,900 Suncast Grand Prix Qualifier

Beat Mändli (SUI) may have been fastest aboard Vic de Cerisiers in the nine-horse jump-off that decided the $72,900 CSIO5* Suncast Grand Prix Qualifier, but he attributed his victory to patience.
“We let him grow up really slow. Now, he’s showing [us] it was the right thing to do,” Mändli said.
