Last week, during the successful AQHA/APHA/NSBA ELEMENTA Goes West show held at the ELEMENTA Ranch located in Rome, Italy, past NRHA Futurity and Derby Non Pro Champion Tribbiani crossed the big pond to join the elite string of horses owned by one of the top reining horse owners in the world, Maria Cecilia Fiorucci.
The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) is thrilled to announce that Shiners Voodoo Dr and Jacs Electric Spark have officially joined the elite ranks of NRHA $4 Million Sires. This prestigious achievement is a testament to their progeny’s outstanding quality and performance in NRHA-sanctioned events worldwide.
With more than $24 million won by National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) competitors in 2023, stallions are reaching new million-dollar milestones rapidly. One of the stallions who left their mark last year is NRHA Hall of Famer Spooks Gotta Whiz. Not only did the stallion surpass the NRHA $7 Million Sire mark just two months after crossing the $6 million, but he was also the second-highest leading sire of 2023 (NRHA categories 1-12) with $2,285,709 earned by his offspring.
In 2010, a flashy young colt burst onto the reining scene. By National Reining Horse Association Thirteen Million Dollar Sire Gunner, and out of Shining Little Peach (by Shining Spark), Colonels Shining Gun was poised to do great things. In early November, the stallion, affectionately known as Jojo, added another line to his resume when he became a Million Dollar Sire. While he’s now known for his prepotency, he proved his prowess in the show pen early on.

Less than a year after his offspring passed four million dollars in earnings, Gunners Special Nite has made it to the next level of National Reining Horse Association Million Dollar milestones. That makes the flashy sorrel one of only nine sires in history to cross the $5 Million threshold.
