Julien Anquetin Triumphs In the Grand Prix Hermès

Epic sport and a showstopping spectacle raise the roof of the Grand Palais Éphémère. At the end of a very intense class with the world’s elite riders, Frenchman Julien Anquetin secures victory in the Grand Prix Hermès with the gelding Blood Diamond Du Pont, the finest victory of his career. 32 years of age, he finishes ahead of compatriot Julien Épaillard, world No.4, considered by one and all as the fastest rider in the world, riding Donatello d’Auge. He succeeds the rider from Luxembourg, Victor Bettendorf, winner of the Grand Prix Hermès 2023. Colombian Rene Lopez Lizarazo, based in north-east France for nearly four decades, completes the podium.

Saut Hermès Saturday Action: Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli and Simon Delestre are Grand Champions


The spectators gathered at the Grand Palais Éphémère witnessed a marvellous spectacle this Saturday with sport taking centre stage. Swedish rider Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli brought the crowd to their feet by securing victory in the Saut Hermès, scooping the second biggest prize of the competition riding her mare Kalinka van de Nachtegaele. On Sunday at 15:30 hours, she will rediscover the world’s top riders in the Grand Prix Hermès, the grand finale of the competition.

The Fourteenth Edition Of the Saut Hermès: Lativia and France Secure Victory On Day One

 

By winning the Prix Hermès Sellier, the main class on this first day of the fourteenth edition of the Saut Hermès, Latvian Kristaps Neretnieks was the surprise champion ahead of the best riders in the world, who are competing at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris through until Sunday. Kicking off the day, Edward Lévy treated spectators to the first rendition of the Marseillaise in the Prix du Grand Palais with his mare Confidence d’Ass. In the Talents Hermès class, reserved for the U25 riders, William Ligier de la Prade also took the win for France with Galilée.

Cancelltion of the Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais 2020

The house of Hermès has taken note of the French ministerial decree of 9 March 2020 prohibiting gatherings of more than 1,000 people. Consequently, the eleventh Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais, due to take place in Paris from 20 to 22 March 2020, is cancelled. In the context of the exceptional current public health situation, Hermès is obliged to cancel the Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais 2020.
