Kole Price Officially Announced as NRHA’s Newest Million Dollar Rider

With the airing of the December 17, 2021 episode of The Last Cowboy on the Paramount Network, reining fans around the globe were able to watch history be made at The Run For A Million presented by Teton Ridge. Although the event was held August 21, a media embargo meant fans had to wait to learn who the winner was until the final episode of The Last Cowboy aired.

Rubys Radar and Zane Davis Take The Crown

The top 15 riders on the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Open rider eligibility list, based on a three-year average, were invited to compete in the $150,000 Teton Ridge Invitational Fence Work Challenge, consisting of rein and herd work. After an exciting evening, Rubys Radar and Zane Davis were crowned the Champions with their rein work score of 224.5 and fence work score of 229, which made for a total 453.5.

2020 The Run for a Million is Going to Run! Along with Paramount Network Television Series, The Last Cowboy


2020 The Run for a Million, along with Paramount Network television series,The Last Cowboy, to take place. “Taylor (Sheridan) and I understand how important it is to get our industry kick started again. Our trainers have lost horses in training, had to lay off help, and are looking at a grim future if we do not get back to showing horses,” stated Amanda Brumley with grave concern. “My heart is breaking for these people who rely on events like this to make a living. The trickle down affect is astronomic, not just for trainers, show staff, vendors, venues, hotels, restaurants. I could go on and on. We absolutely must get back to work.” The event has also added a $100,000 Open Cow Horse Bridle Invitational presented by DT Horses which includes fifteen of the top Open Riders from the National Reined Cow Horse Association. This performance takes place Friday evening, July 31.

The Run For A Million adds $100,000 Cow Horse Invitational

The 2020 edition of The Run For A Million  will host its first-ever reined cow horse invitational during its second-annual edition July 29 — Aug. 1 in Las Vegas. The $100,000 cow horse event will be held in conjunction with the existing reining competitions at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center that include the Million Dollar Reining Invitational.
