AQHA Postpones Adequan® Select World

AQHA leadership is evaluating the possibility of hosting the Adequan® Select World later this year. Once a decision is made, AQHA will release additional information at www.aqha.com/selectworld.[/caption]For the safety of exhibitors, spectators and staff, AQHA has postponed the 2020 AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), which was set for August 31 - September 6.
Due to a number of factors, the AQHA Executive Committee has postponed the 2020 AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), which was scheduled for August 31 - September 6 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.Ruidoso Horse Sales Move 2020 Events to Oklahoma


The 2020 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, the 2020 New Mexico Bred Sale and the Foal In Utero Sale will be conducted at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma on August 27th, 28th, and 29th. After weighing several factors relating to the annual horse sales, specifically the current New Mexico Public Health Order which limits mass gatherings, All-American Ruidoso Horse Sale will partner with Lazy E Arena, located just north of Oklahoma City, to hold the sales.
New AQHA Classes Available


Six new classes, designed to enhance the member experience, are now available and will be offered at upcoming AQHA-approved shows.
The American Quarter Horse Association launches six new classes, which were member-driven initiatives voted on at past AQHA conventions and on hold pending computer programming. Trail and VRH Ranch Trail Modifications Due to COVID-19

Photo ©AQHA[/caption]AQHA Executive Committee approves modifications to frequently touched surfaces, including the mandatory gate obstacle in trail and Versatility Ranch Horse trail and the obstacle drag in open, cowboy and amateur VRH trail, until further notice to protect the safety of exhibitors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The AQHA Executive Committee and AQHA leadership are currently evaluating protocols and recommendations to implement when local, state and federal mandates are lifted and the impact of any new guidelines on AQHA shows and programs. The Executive Committee recently approved waiving the gate as a mandatory obstacle in trail, AQHA Rule SHW 466.1, and Versatility Ranch Horse trail, in addition to the obstacle drag in open, cowboy and amateur VRH ranch trail, AQHA Rule SHW561.7.
