Givrins, July 12—Over 200 horses and riders representing 15 countries are warming up for the first day of competition at the SVAG CS Classic 2022 where this year’s edition of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Affiliate Championships is being held along with the Swiss Reining Championship Finals and the World Para Reining Championships.
After a two-year break, the beautiful CS Ranch located in Givrins, Switzerland, is welcoming back reining action. “We are thrilled and proud to be back by organizing the prestigious 2022 and 2023 NRHA European Affiliate Championships,” said host Corinna Schumacher. “It is great to have horses and riders enjoy our facility and sharing the innovations we brought to our ranch.”
CS Ranch Manager Eric Obrecht added: “Though we did not host shows during the two years, we never stopped working on the ranch, and I am thrilled to see that our guests are appreciating the changes for the better we made with horses, riders, owners, and staff on our mind.”
On Wednesday, competition will feature the first NRHA ancillary classes [download the schedule here] with the NRHA EAC Youth meeting and party closing the day.
Representing seven countries, the 28 qualified Youth 13 & Under and Youth 14-18 EAC finalists will get to know each other and find out the teams they will be representing in the 2022 EAC Youth Team Tournament. Each team will be made up of two 13 & Under and two 14-18 riders with the winning team taking home the buckles offered by NRHA, and medals awarded to all the participating teams.
EAC action will fill the CS Ranch Arena on Friday through Sunday with riders representing 15 nations vying for the Championship crowns, saddles for the Champions, along with prizes and prize money.
