La Chapelle-la-Reine, May 26—The first day of competition at the 2022 edition of the $344,514-Added National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Futurity at BO Ranch saw Europe’s best horses and riders perform for a spot in the AMBTP Open Futurity Finals scheduled on Saturday, May 28.

La Chapelle-la-Reine, May 3—Originally scheduled to be held in Austria, BO Ranch’s proposal to host the 2022 edition of the NRHA European Futurity was accepted in February this year. The response from sponsors in support of the event held in France—as well as the work done by the BO Ranch team— has been huge and includes the addition of NRHA Corporate Partners Toyon Ranch and MS Diamonds TX who extended their contribution to NRHA owned events outside North America.
Less than a year after becoming a Seven Million Dollar Sire in the National Reining Horse Association, Magnum Chic Dream has passed another milestone. It was at the 2010 National Reining Breeders Classic that the stallion first joined the elite group of NRHA Million Dollar Sires, so it’s fitting that this latest accomplishment was achieved at the same event.
The flashiest reiners and their savvy owners will get another run for Chrome Cash at the NRHA European Futurity, taking place May 26–29 at Bo Ranch just outside Paris, France, courtesy of APHA and the National Reining Horse Association.
The 25th edition of the National Reining Breeders Classic is in the books, with a record-breaking number of horses competing in the three rings of the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas.
As the final results were tallied, it was NRHA Seven Million Dollar Sire Smart Spook whose offspring had collected the most money in the Classic, including the preliminary rounds and finals of both the Open and Non Pro. Smart Spook foals were responsible for winning more than $95,366 during the week in Katy, Texas.
On Saturday night, crowd favorites Trevor Dare and Jerseys Baby Driver added another line to their resume, winning the Level 4 Open Championship at the National Reining Breeders Classic.
Dare and Jerseys Baby Driver, by Yellow Jersey out of Wind Her Up Chic, were first on the ground in the last set of horses on Open Finals night. From the moment they ran into the pen, the roar of the audience was deafening, and those cheers built to a crescendo when the score – a 228 – was announced.
The atmosphere during the 2022 National Reining Breeders Classic Non Pro Finals, held Friday, April 22, was full of anticipation.
When Taylor Zimmerman rode into the Great Southwest Equestrian Center Coliseum on Shining On Ruf, the excitement of the crowd built, and the whoops, hollers, and whistles hit their crescendo when the pair’s score – a 222 – was announced. “The crowd was electric. I was really focused and trying to zone in as much as possible, but I did hear and feel the energy from the crowd,” Zimmerman shared following the Finals.
The Open field is set for the Saturday finals at the 2022 National Reining Breeders Classic. Held at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas, the NRBC is one of the National Reining Horse Association’s largest events, and at the end of this year’s event, the 25th, will have paid out more than $25 million.
Down Right Amazing’s run in the National Reining Breeders Classic Open Prelims was exactly that. Under the expert hands of NRHA $2 Million Rider Casey Deary, the 5-year-old stallion by Gunner and out of Shesouttayourleague marked a 225.5 to top the first section of Open horses in the 25th NRBC at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas. It’s been a salty two days of non pro reining at the 25th National Reining Breeders Classic, held at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas. Two sections of Non Pro Classic contestants gave it their best inside the Coliseum, and as the preliminary action wrapped up April 19, a bevy of riders secured a place in the Finals on April 22.
Lendi and One Mr JJ Score Big to Win the Level 4 Open Championship

With 70 Open Finalists vying for the Derby and Superstakes Championships, the oval CremonaFiere Arena offered a great group of horses and riders with NRHA Million Dollar Rider Gennaro Lendi and One Mr JJ performing to a 230.5 which led them to the €45,000-added Level 4 Open Championship title.
