A day full of action once again filled CremonaFiere in Cremona, Italy, as 95 combinations entered across the four levels rode their 4-year-olds vying for a spot in the finals of the $109.140-added Open Futurity.
The $300,595-added NRHA European Derby concluded on Saturday night in Lyon, France, with the Open Finals set in the Oklahoma Arena of Equita Lyon. A full house rewarded German Professional Dominik Reminder with a great applause after his thrilling run aboard PL Yankee Littlewhiz. The duo was awarded an impressive 230 score by the judges to claim the NRHA European Derby Open Level (L)4 Championship.

The fight was on as 104 horse-rider combinations gave it their all vying for a spot in the Finals which will be held on Saturday, November 4.

The need for international team and individual competition was much felt by the reining community worldwide at all levels. It was a very special day for 2021 NRHA Non Pro World Champions Nikolai Stiller and his mount Hollywood Gunrunner (NRHA Thirteen Million Dollar Sire Gunner x Dun It For Missy). The duo topped the $3,500-Added Quarter Dream NRHA Non Pro with a great 144.5 score, proving their winning streak has moved on to 2022. “We purchased this mare when she was 6 months old and have gone a long way since,” said a smiling Stiller after his winning run.
The 3-year-old 2021 IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Futurity filled the day at Cremona Fiere, Cremona, Italy, with the second go round of the $289,181-added Open Futurity. Held in a two go round format and seeded finals,122 horse-rider combinations across the four levels (L4, 56 entries; L3, 47 entries; L2, 69 entries; L1, 46 entries) took the reins performing for a spot in the finals.
Following the closing of the 2021 NRHA European Futurity, the second day of the 3-year-old IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Futurity welcomed the first go round of the $289,181-added Open Futurity. Held in a two go round format and seeded finals, the first go counted 122 horse-rider combinations across the four levels.
Lyon, October 29–Following the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Derby Open and Non Pro Qualifiers, horses and riders who made the Finals took a day off in sunny Lyon, France, where the event presented by Markel Insurance and sponsored by NRHA Corporate Partner Cardinal Reining Horses is taking place.
It took a qualifier and a final to bring home top honors in the NRHA Open with the highest added offered in Europe: the 2019 AMERICANA €40.000-added Open Bronze Trophy. NRHA Million Dollar Rider Ann Fonck went ahead and won with Diego and Laura Dalla Gassa’s Gunners Specialolena, a 5-year-old double registered AQHA/APHA mare by NRHA’s Three Million Dollar Sire Gunners Special Nite out of Dolly Jac Olena.
