Cremona, May 27 — The €483.567-Added National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Futurity held in Cremona, Italy, closed today with the Open Finals in the CremonaFiere reining arena. 48 horse-rider combinations across the four levels made the prestigious Finals following Wednesday’s qualifier with one run that stood out from the others. Italian Manuel Cortesi and July Joe Snap stormed into the arena and performed a breathtaking NRHA pattern #12 paid back by the judges with the highest score of the event, a 232.


FORT WORTH, Texas – After an electric record-setting season, Martha Angelone (Cross Junction, Virgina) emerged the supreme competitor, delivering a clutch final day of the all-around race in Fort Worth, Texas, to be crowned the 2023 WRWC (Women’s Rodeo World Championship) All-Around World Champion, earning the accompanying $20,000 bonus and Coats saddle.

The amazing gelding King Edward and Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann made history in Omaha winning the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final by taking the 2023 title — a first for Sweden. With an unpredictable turnout until the very end, the duo who has collected both the Olympic and World Championships jumped to the highest step of the podium leaving Harrie Smolders of The Netherlands riding Monaco N.O.P. in second place and wonderful American Hunter Holloway and Pepita Con Spita in third. Missing the podium by a very narrow margin was Brazil’s Yuri Mansur and Vitiki.


United Touch S, with Germany’s 26-year-old Richard Vogel in the saddle, laid down an outstanding round to win the second leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2023 in Omaha (USA). In a field of nine who advanced to the jump off — out of 39 starters riding the course set by Portugal’s Bernardo Costa Cabral— rising star Harry Charles of Britain stopped the clock in 35.25 seconds claiming second place with Balou du Reventon between the reins.


Defending FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final Champion and world number one Jessica von Bredow-Werndl of Germany rode to win the opening round of the 2023 Final presented by Havensafe Farm. Held in the CHI Health Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. The Olympic Champion teamed up with TSF Dalera BB, a 16-year-old mare owned by Béatrice Buerchler-Keller, performing to a 79.922% for the win. Second place honors went to Germany's Isabell Werth and DSP Quantaz to 77.485%.

International Reining Team Competition has been greatly missed by reiners around the world. Thanks to the work done in the past year by World Reining, it is back with a bang offering €150.000 guaranteed prize money, the coveted medals, and the World Reining Champion titles. The host will be renowned CS Ranch in Givrins, Switzerland, where many prestigious World and European Team reining competitions have been held in the past.


The first Champions of the Euro 205,200-Added IRHA/IRHBA Derby presented by DeNiroBootsCo were crowned in the renewed CremonaFiere Reining Pavilion in Cremona, Italy.
In a field of 52 horse-rider combinations across the four levels of the Non Pro Derby Finals, 23-year-old Vittorio De Iulio and Mr Magic Chex (ARC Magic Enterprise x Miss America Chex) closed their great performance with a 221.5 score taking home the Euro 21.000-Added IRHA L4 and Euro 21.000-Added IRHBA L4. They also left Cremona with the Euro 6.000-Added IRHA L3, and Euro 6.000-Added IRHBA L3 titles under their belt.


An exciting day of competition took place today in Cremona, Italy, where the 2023 edition of the Italian Derby is being held. Once the second section of the Euro 67.000-Added IRHA and Euro 67.000-Added IRHA Derby Qualifiers closed with the last horse-rider combination leaving the new CremonaFiere Arena gate behind, Saturday night’s Open finalists were determined.
