The Longines Grand Prix was the only class of the CSI5*W A Coruña today at Casas Novas. With a total prize money of €210,000, €69,300 of which were given to the winner, it was a stellar moment, the previous test of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Casas Novas Trophy, a qualifying leg which will be held tomorrow.
McLain Ward (USA) and Noche de Ronda eclipsed a top-tier field of 45 in the $213,300 Longines Grand Prix CSIO5* on Valentine’s Day at Deeridge Farms. Fifth to return for the shortened track, Ward’s time of 37.86 seconds was enough to sneak past Billy Twomey (IRL) and Kimba Flamenco in second place, with Ward’s countrywoman Margie Engle and Dicas in third.

Despite losing his rein after the jump-off’s third fence, O’Shea rode the fastest of the three double clear rounds to earn the win on Tequestrian Farms’ Imerald Van 't Voorhof. The win marked the first five-star grand prix victory of O’Shea’s career.
