Two stallions in the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) have recently crossed a multi-million dollar milestone and have a first-class list of offspring in the industry. The two noticeably stunning palomino stallions, Pale Face Dunnit and Shiners Voodoo Dr, accruing more than $3 million in offspring earnings, have an extraordinary influence in the reining industry.
Reined cow horse events and the corresponding class purses grew considerably in 2022. In turn, many sires and dams saw offspring launch them into new earnings brackets within the industry, including Bet Hesa Cat, the newest National Reined Cow Horse Association Two Million Dollar Sire.
Fifteen years ago, NRHA Professional Jared Leclair accepted a raw-boned 2-year-old into training. With a royal pedigree and phenomenal confirmation, the colt showed outstanding promise as a performance prospect, but that is where Leclair’s plans for the colt ended. Even still, Leclair made a deal with the colt’s owner, Danny Dugan, and joined in a partnership for the ownership of Electric Code.
When the National Reined Cow Horse Association wrapped the 2021 show year, offspring earnings tallied showed that two stallions achieved the earnings milestone to become NRCHA Million Dollar Sires: Dual Smart Rey and Woody Be Tuff.
