This weekend, while PBR (Professional Bull Riders) is on hiatus, fans will still be able to see televised action of the sport’s top bull riders attempting the rankest bulls on the planet.
On Sunday, March 22, CBS Sports Network will telecast a five-hour marathon featuring several crucial events thus far in the 2020 PBR World Championship race.

The action will begin at 12:00 p.m. EDT with the second Major of the season, the PBR Iron Cowboy, presented by Ariat, from Los Angeles at the STAPLES Center on February 7-8. Entering the event, all eyes were on the Brazilian due of Jose Vitor Leme, who had surged to the world No. 1 ranking the weekend before after winning in Oklahoma City, and Joao Ricardo Vieira, the defending Iron Cowboy champion seeking to win the Major for the fourth time. PBR is full of surprises, and Texas cowboy Cole Melancon shocked the western sports world as the second rookie in league history to win a Major, surging to No. 6 in the world.
Next, at 1 p.m. EDT, fans can enjoy two hours of intense action from Little Rock on March 6-7. After being cut from the elite Unleash The Beast at the 2019 Arkansas event, Ramon de Lima had a weekend of sweet redemption one year later, signaling championship-form presence on this year’s premier series in going a perfect 3-for-3 to win the Bad Boy Mowers Mowdown at Simmons Bank Arena.
The PBR mini-marathon will conclude with two hours of coverage from the closed-to-fans, made-for-TV Gwinnett Invitational from Duluth, Georgia on March 14-15. Inside a vacant Infinite Energy Center, PBR was the only major professional sport in action in the United States. Brazilian Dener Barbosa dominated, recording his first-ever 90-point ride on the elite tour in winning the historic Unleash The Beast in an arena where the only cheers were from a band of brothers in the eerily empty arena.
Due to the guidelines the CDC and President Trump have issued recommending limiting gatherings to 10 people in light of global health concerns regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), PBR has canceled the Unleash The Beast Glendale Invitational which the organization was planning to bring to Pueblo’s Colorado State Fairgrounds as a closed, made-for-TV event Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22.
