NRHA Ancillary Action and NRHA Youth Team Tournament Members Take Center Stage At the NRHA European Affiliate Championships in Le Pin, France

Le Pin, July 17 — Provided by Simona Diale — The 2024 edition of the NRHA European Affiliate Championships took off full blast today with NRHA Ancillary action and a youthful afternoon at Le Petit Far West in Le Pin, France, where over 200 horses and 141 riders representing 13 countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, The Netherlands) came together.

As competition took place, National Reining Horse Youth Association (NRHyA) members competing in the NRHA EAC Youth Team Tournament gathered for a fun-filled afternoon under the guidance of Sr. Director of International Affairs & Development and International
Liaison Samantha Oldfield, Sr. Coordinator of Affiliate Programs & Shows Lauren Waymire, and NRHyA International Liaison Officer JG Codell. Seven teams, consisting of two 13 & Under and two 14-18 riders, came together; the team with the three highest scores posted in the NRHA EAC classes (the lowest score will be dropped) on Saturday morning will take home the NRHA buckles and all teams will be awarded with NRHA medals. The youth riders surprised NRHA Professional Nico Sicuro of Italy with a birthday cake celebrating his 28th trip around the sun. A surprised Sicuro was thrilled to answer the young rider’s questions!

Rookie Level 2 – Alice Van Happen & her own Joeys Special Nite (NRHA Seven Million Dollar Sire Gunners Special Nite x Peppys Pretty Woman) – score 140.5

$300-added NRHA Novice Horse Open L3 – Bernard Fonck & MT Okies Sweetnes (NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire SG Frozen Enterprize x Okies Eldorado), owned by J&J comm v – score 142 / Miroslav Baniari & LV Barny Remedys (Remedys Moonshine x Majors Queen Mary), owned by Daša Zahradníková – score 142

$300-added NRHA Novice Horse Non Pro L3 – Tom De Boever and GI Golden Gun (NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire Colonels Shining Gun x Golden Dream Chic), owned by Deboti BVBA – score140.5

More NRHA ancillary classes will be offered on Thursday and will be followed by the NRHA European Affiliate Championship Finals on Friday and Saturday. APHA (American Paint Horse Association) Chrome Cash will also shine by offering Paint owners competing in the $500-added EAC Rookie Pro/EAC Intermediate Open, $500-added EAC Limited Non-Pro/EAC Non-Pro, $500-added EAC Limited Open/EAC Open, and $500 added Rookie 1.
