The Run For A Million (TRFAM), Taylor Sheridan’s highly anticipated annual reining, cow horse and cutting horse event, has onboarded new management and booking personnel as they gear up for this year’s edition.
Cheryl Cody’s Pro Management will lead the planning and execution of the main event, including managing entry processes, multiple databases, operational procedures, event schedules, staff, and budgets. As part of this role, Pro Management will also oversee all associated qualifying events. The hire comes on the heels of nearly three decades of Pro Management and Cody’s prominence in the Western performance horse industry, with experience at events & organizations including the National Reining Horse Association Futurity and Derby, the National Reining Breeders Classic, the World Equestrian Games and the National Reined Cow Horse Association.
Kim Cox, Cutting Horse Show Secretary at Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch, will serve as TRFAM’s Cattle Event Coordinator. Firestarter Music’s Andrea von Foerster has also joined the TRFAM team as booking agent, overseeing the event’s musical performance component following last year’s sets from Stephen Wilson Jr., Jackson Dean and Lainey Wilson.
Megan Soliah, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Bosque Ranch, will continue to spearhead the strategy and execution of TRFAM’s brand marketing and digital platforms, while overseeing all sponsorships.
This year’s The Run For A Million will take place from August 11–16, 2025 at Las Vegas’s South Point Arena and Equestrian Center; the event and the extensive training leading up to it will also once again be chronicled in a forthcoming season of the hit TV series THE LAST COWBOY. General Admission and Reserved Seat tickets for the Cutting Horse Challenge (August 14) and the Cow Horse Challenge (August 15) are on sale now via Ticketmaster; tickets for the flagship Million Dollar Competition are sold out.
