AMERICANA 2021: Joschka Werdermann Takes Lead in Ranch Riding Open Go Round

Two years ago, Joschka Werdermann took the AMERICANA Ranch Riding European Open Championship with a bang. In the 2021 edition, with two horses entered, as draw #2 he set the bar with a 152 score aboard 12-year-old Ruff Commander (Ruf Lil Rascal x Peppys Especial Lena). No one was able to beat the score, not even Joschka himself with his second mount—last in the draw— the Criollo-bred CP Chaca Teso (owned by Jacqueline Gulden-Schütz) whom he came out of the arena with a 149 score taking the two highest scores of the go round.

AMERICANA 2021: ERCHA/NRCHA Futurity and Derby Open Rein Work Qualifier

The 2021 edition of the AMERICANA, held in Augsburg, Germany, is host of the 2021 ERCHA/NRCHA Futurity and Derby. Following the rein work qualifier which counted an impressive 43 horse-rider-combinations in the Futurity and 20 in the Derby Open, it was a tie between Alfons Hoefkens and Giovanni Campanaro in the Futurity and a tie between the latter and Schopfer in the Derby.

In the Masters Cuttings Open Denis Pini claimed the Championship aboard Michal Popov's Stop Ur Hot. With a 147, the Italian, who has already won the AMERICANA European Championship Cutting several times, prevailed over his 32 competitors. He also rode Genuine Alley Cat for Davide Tresoldi to third place (145).
