Piazza di Siena: Historic Win for Israel’s Bluman in Thrilling Rolex Grand Prix Rome

Daniel Bluman made history when posting Israel’s first-ever victory in the €400,000 Rolex Grand Prix at CSIO Rome Piazza di Siena today. From a starting field of 44 horse-and-rider combinations, the 29-year-old rider was one of only four to jump clear in the first round. And with the fastest zero score in round two he carved his name onto the prestigious Roll of Honour that dates all the way back to 1926, thanks to a brilliant performance from his 11-year-old gelding, Ladriano Z.

An amazing 19 countries were represented in the inaugural NRHA/IRHA/RHF Global Youth Reining Cup: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay, Poland, Spain, Thailand, Uruguay, and USA. The event took place in Cremona, Italy, during the IRHA Derby and on Saturday morning the spotlight was on the 19 riders that rode for their country’s flag. Though competition was heartfelt, the spirit that filled the air during the week was camaraderie, joy and pride in being part of the very first edition of the Cup!

Saving the best for last, Carlo Ambrosini and Gunnalittlestep conquer the 38,000-added IRHA Non Pro Derby

Gunnalittlestep (NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire Gunnatrashya x Gay Jays Llittle Step), owned by Ambrosini Quarter Horses ASD,  made the Level (L)4 and L3 Non Pro European Futurity finals with Paolo Ambrosini in the saddle.  A few days before the IRHA Derby, Paolo decided to let his son, Carlo, show him. With the 4-year-old gelding between the reins, the 19-year-old Italian rider posted the highest score in the L4 Non Pro qualifier with a 217.5.

WCRA concludes May Semi-Finals and pays out more than $500,000 to athletes in five days

More than $500,000 was paid out to rodeo athletes today as the World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) concluded their $500,000 semi-finals rounds in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the Lazy E Arena. The five-day event paid out more than $500,000 to cowboys and cowgirls from around the globe and out of more than 500 athletes, 76 athletes from the semi-finals advanced to the Title Town Stampede, a one-day $1 Million Major Rodeo June 1 at Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
