Only one week left until the Austrian Reining Futurity and NRHA Show which is scheduled for August 18 to 21 in Wiener Neustadt / Austria. 236 horses have been entered so far for the $83,000-added show, including 216 for the Futurity classes alone. Riders come from France, Italy, Poland, Israel, Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Canada, the Netherlands, Hungary, Slovenia and Belgium. And the anticipation is great…
Meanwhile, in Wiener Neustadt, preparations are in full swing. The excellent conditions at the HD Schulz facility are well known. In addition, Helmut Schulz and his team are preparing everything to make it as pleasant as possible for the participants. So also this time the Welcome Party on Tuesday evening forms the prelude – of course under observance of the necessary pandemic measures. This season, Helmut Schulz and his people have proven many times that great shows can be performed even under COVID conditions. The facility is generously designed so that spacing rules are not a problem. However, participants have to respect the 3G rule: Only people are allowed to enter the facility who are vaccinated or have recovered or can show a current genitive test.
So now everyone is looking forward to the first day of the show with the go rounds of the 3-year old Futurity and the Intermediate and Limited Open and Non Pro. The show will be judged by Maik Bartmann (GER), Enrico Righetti (ITA), Simon Friedle (AUT), Sylvia Katschker (AUT) as well as Dave Young (NED), who will stand in for Adam Heaton at short notice (Adam cannot come to Austria due to Corona conditions). Bit Judge is Laura E Faris (USA). The show will be livestreamed on https://www.westernstar.at/futurity/livestream.shtml .
