
Sarah Stocker & Colonels Charmingun dominate Non Pro Futurity Go round, 3- year- old horses
The Futurity classes started with the Non Pro Go round of the 3 year olds, in which 28 horses were entered in the four levels. Here, Austrian Sarah Stocker and her Colonels Charmingun made it to the top in all levels scoring a 210.5. The palomino is by Shiners Voodoo Dr out of Okie Smokin Gun and was bred by Ludivine Collon in France.
“I bought him last year in December as a 2-year-old,” said Sarah, who has trained with Rudi Kronsteiner since 2018. “In the Go Round he was well-behaved, listened superbly and just did his job. Now I’m looking forward to the final.” Sarah was already an Austrian Reining Futurity finalist L1 to 4 Non Pro of 4-year-olds two years ago.
Jennifer Nixdorf and Awaited Prettymagnum (Magnum Chic Dream x Wrangler Dun So Good) placed second in Level 4 and 3 scoring a 210. Jennifer has already been Austrian Futurity Non Pro Res. Champion, French Futurity Non Pro Champion and NRHA Breeders Futurity Non Pro Finalist.
Third in L4 was Austrian Futurity Champion Non Pro L1 of 2019 Franziska Wallner aboard Xtra Shine Anna (Shiners Voodoo Dr x JD Conquista Anna, 209) ahead of Tamara Kroselj and Gunner Hez Chics (208.5), who finished third in L3 and second in L2 and L1. Tamara was AVCR-IRHA-FISE Any Horse any Rider Champion with this horse in June.
Fourth place in L3, 2 and 1 went to Thea Karasova and Dg Sky Scarlet Dunnit, who scored a 207.5.
Third in L2 and L1 was Austria’s Melanie Romi Otto and her CSG Miss Dior (by Colonels Shining Gun, 208).
Open Go round three-year-old horses:
Top Score for Lukasz Czechowicz & CSG Kenzo
66 horses from all over Europe had been entered for the Open Go round of the three-year- old horses in the four levels. Top Score was achieved by Lukasz Czechowicz aboard Katarzyna Roleska’s CSG Kenzo (Colonels Shining Gun x Shiner Brimolena): his 218 meant the lead in Level 4 with only half a point gap to Nico Sicuro and Dance Smoking Gun (Colonels Smoking Gun x Dance Little Spook), a mare owned by Quarter Dream SRL. Sicuro and Czechowicz had already shared the Austrian Futurity Championship in the L4 4-year-old division in 2020. Sicuro also rode Two Steppin Spook (Smart Spook x Shining Dancer) to 4th place (216) for Edoardo Bernardelli.
Dominik Reminder followed in 3rd place in L4, also just half a point behind, on Jaqueline Seger’s stallion Rock Crusher (Shine Chic Shine x Jokin Peppy)
Klaus Lechner & Walla Gun Girl dominate L3
In the L3 Open, Klaus Lechner took the lead aboard Walla Gun Girl (Tinseltownsmokingun x ARC Ms Whiz ). The mare owned by Julia Gaupmann-Lechner scored a 215.5, beating Johannes Hasenauer with Stefan Löffler’s Stepup For Lil Gun (Lil Gun x Step Up And Play) and Jeffrey Touroute-Thomas on Alexandre Giarratano’s The Electric Bandit (Dont Miss My Guns x Electra Stop Ruff) into second place (214.5).
Marina Becker & Whiz Gunnas Treasure take lead in L2
Sharing fourth place in L3, each with a 214, were Marina Becker with her own bred stallion Whiz Gunnas Treasure (Walla Whiz Crome x ARC Lendmeyourgun) and Fabi Cestari aboard Wolfgang Hammer’s Whizin With Spook (Smart Spook x Whizin Off Sparks). This was also the double top in the L2 Open. There was also a tie for third place here (212.5) between Gisela Denk aboard Gernot Kuttner’s Gottawhizlikethis (Gotta West Coast Gun x Riettas Two Eyed Sun) and Lorenzo De Simone aboard Margherita Merzari’s DR Smart (byShiners Voodoo Dr).
Gisela Denk & Gottawhizlikethis top L1
With this Gisela Denk and Gottawhizlikethis also took the lead in the L1 Open. They were followed in second place with a 212 by Shay Balmas aboard Katarzyna Roleska’s CSG Wisemanfear (Colonels Shining Gun x Tejana Chic) with Tobias Voglberger and Sabrina Voglberger’s BH Ruf Moonshadow (Am A Ruf Boy x RR Haida BH) following in thrird place (211). Two riders tied for fourth place honours scoring a 210.5 each: Miriam Longobardi on Marina Hrzenjak Belusic’ Shine On Me Sugar (Shine Chic Shine x One Sugar Chex) and Lena Maas with not one but two horses: Hope and Vintage (Sparkling Vintage x Hope And Surprise) a mare owned by Edoardo Bernardelli and The Last Electricopy (Electric Code x Little Copy Chex) owned by Quarter Dream SRL.
