A CSI 1* with 69 pairs entered and a CSI 4* with 90 pairs and renowned riders such as Olympic and world medallist Jérôme Guéry (who won the Nations Cup in Rabat last Sunday with Belgium), European Championship medallist and world no. 10, France’s Simon Delestre (double winner in Tetouan), Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano, who has won countless times on the MRT, or Germany’s Andre Thieme, multiple winner of 5* Grand Prix and a member of the German team at the last World Championships in Herning.

The women are also making their presence felt at this MRT. Last year, the circuit revived Luciana Diniz and Vertigo du Désert, who have just qualified Brazil for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This year at Rabat, two riders came to the fore: Belgium’s Marine Scauflaire, who won her first 4* Grand Prix, and Ireland’s Jessica Burke, the brilliant winner of the Winning Round. Not forgetting Switzerland’s Barbara Schnieper, who has been on a string of podium finishes over the last two weeks!

There are three highlights on this final leg: the Prix MAPM/SOREC, which qualifies for the Grand Prix and counts towards the world rankings (Friday at the end of the session), the Prix CDG, the traditional Winning-Round which counts towards the world rankings (Saturday) and, of course, the World Cup Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which counts towards the World Cup Arab League and the world rankings (Sunday afternoon).

The final leg in El Jadida, from October 19 to 23 (€241,000 in prize money), is an indoor showjumping event, with a sports program like that of Tetouan. It also provides an opportunity to discover the Moroccan Horse Show (Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida), undoubtedly the most important on the continent, where the flagship event is held–the Grand Prix de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI de Saut d’obstacles.
