Givrins, July 8 — Provided by Simona Diale — The much-anticipated second edition of the World Reining Championships 2025, presented by SVAG Schweizer Vermögensberatung, will once again be held at CS Ranch in Givrins, Switzerland. Owned by NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) Three Million Dollar Owner Corinna Schumacher, the venue is the largest and most modern state-of-the-art facility, operated with love and dedication by Corinna and her daughter, NRHA Two Million Dollar Rider Gina Schumacher Bethke. The ranch will host the largest international reining competition to date, offering a total of €168,000 in prize money and making history, with 14 participating nations.
Following the extremely successful inaugural 2023 World Reining Championships hosted in Givrins, international qualifiers held across four continents determined the team and individual athletes. These were then selected by their national associations in the Junior (ages 14–18), Young Riders (ages 19–25, divided into Non Professional and Professional), Non Pro, Open Riders (ages 26 and up), and Para Reining divisions. Due to high demand, the inaugural Prime Time Non Pro Riders (age 50 and above) was also added. Wild Cards were introduced and made available to the 2024 Top 5 NRHA Open and Non Pro riders, as well as to all NRHA Million Dollar Riders.
CS Ranch opened its doors to horses and riders on Sunday, with training sessions beginning today in the renowned and beautiful CS Arena. This evening, the order of draw will be determined for the much-anticipated Team Competition, which will commence on Wednesday, July 9, with the Prime Time Non Professional Riders, Para Reining Riders, and Young Professional Riders. Thursday will feature the Young Non Professional Riders, Senior Non Professional Riders, and Senior Professional Riders.
On the final two days of competition—Friday and Saturday—qualified athletes will once again enter the show arena, vying for the Individual medals.
If you cannot make it to Givrins—where entry is free for the entire event—you can follow the action live and for free here: https://www.clipmyhorse.tv/en_EU/events/17060
