$700.000-Added IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA/FISE Futurity Presented by DeNiroBootCo.: Sicuro and Mobster N Spook Lead the First Go of the Quarter Dream $353.600-Added Open Futurity

Cremona, November 9—The $700.000-Added IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Futurity on Sunday welcomed the second section of the Quarter Dream $353.600-Added IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA 3-year-old Open Futurity first go round counting 134 horse-rider combinations entered across the four levels. On top, with a 223.5, was Nico Sicuro with Mobster N Spook, a stallion owned and bred by NRHA Million Dollar Owner Quarter Dream.
In a field of 53 combinations, the Spooks Gotta Whiz $166.400-Added IRHA/IRHBA Non Pro Futurity Qualifier saw Jehonatan Hof and PF Golden Voodoo lead the $88.400-Added Level 4 division.

Quarter Dream Open Futurity: First Go Round
Leading the pack in the $240.500-Added Level (L)4 was Italian NRHA Professional Nico Sicuro who, with Mobster N Spook between the reins, laid down an impressive 223.5. The stallion by NRHA Million Dollar Sire HF Mobster and out of Dance Little Spook, is bred and owned by Quarter Dream.
“I’m very happy with how my horse performed today,” said Sicuro. “I knew he had the potential and athleticism – in fact, we scored a 220 in the NRHA Germany Breeders Futurity go round after showing him the first time in Belgium, but we’ve never scored so high. Today we went for a clean and precise run. His spins and stops are his strong maneuvers, and that helps. He listened to me all the time and now we have to go for a similar run in the second go.” Quarter Dream’s head trainer added: “He’s always been a beautiful horse with a great attitude. My assistants started riding him in November last year and I’ve always believed in him—but you never know if the talent is true until you show them!”

In the $65.000-Added L3, tying for the high score (220.5) was Germany’s Kim Obenhaus riding Bo Brutsaert’s KB By Davinci (NRHA $ 4 Million Sire Inferno Sixty Six x Pumpkin Rooster), a stallion bred by Bruko Quarter Horses and owned by Koen Brutsaert; and Pierluigi Fabbri of Italy with The Force Is Back (Maytheforcebewithyou x Great Eva), a stallion bred and owned by Antonio Pedron. The latter also leads the $32.500-Added L2. (Photo below).

The $15.600-Added L1 saw Italy’s Pamela Sartori riding Moon Eclips Again (NRHA Million Dollar Sire Gunner Dun It Again x West Coast Mercedes) to the high score of 217.5. The stallion she owns was bred by Manuel Balzani. (Photo above).

The second go round/first section of the Open Futurity will be held on Tuesday, with the second section taking place on Wednesday. The total combined scores will determine who will make their way to the seeded Finals on Saturday, November 14.
