Givrins, July 10 — Provided by Simona Diale — The exciting second day of tea, competition at the World Reining Championships 2025 presented by SVAG Schweizer Vermögensberatung and hosted by CS Ranch in Givrins, Switzerland, offered fierce competition in the show arena and camaraderie between athletes from 14 nations outside the pen.

Senior Professional Riders
Team Germany delivered a commanding performance to capture the gold medal in the Senior Professional Riders Team competition. With a blend of power, precision, and international expertise, the German riders proved unstoppable in a highly competitive field with a total score of 656.5. Sealing the deal was anchor rider NRHA $2 Million Rider Gina Schumacher who closed the day with a 222, the highest score of the event so far, riding her Take Out The Trash, a stallion by NRHA $15 Million Sire Gunnatrashya out of This Chicsdundreamin, AKA ‘Valentino.’
“This is always a beautiful show and I enjoy it a lot,” said Schumacher who flew over from the U.S. with her mount. “My horse is very talented and probably one of my favorite, if not ‘the favorite.’ I haven’t shown him much, I showed him at the 100X where he was good, and today we almost had it altogether. He misunderstood me on the second stop but he has enough talent to make the maneuver look good and he saved us! I really like him because he’s so relaxed and doesn’t care about anything, which is good because I was extremely nervous; team events, where others rely on you, put on a different kind of pressure, but things went as planned and I am happy for the whole team.”
On the team was Elias Ernst who piloted USS N Dun It (Reminic N Dunit x USS Enterprise) to a 217.5; half a point behind Johannes Heil riding CS Whiz Ice (Topsail Whiz x La Bigia Sailor); and Oliver Stein with CR Lil Voodoo Joe (Shiners Voodoo Dr x Lil Joe Whizaway) with a 205.5.
With a 650 total score, and following the tie-break, was Team Austria claiming the silver and Team France taking the bronze.

Senior Non Professional Riders
It was a tight fight until the very end between Teams USA and Team Italy with the Stars and Stripes finally closing with a 656.5 total score, one point ahead of the Blue team, to win the gold medal. Team USA delivered a strong and consistent performance, showcasing both horsemanship and precision in the arena with Krista Marshall riding her Flinn And Tonic (In Like Flinn x Lil Trashya Shiney) posting the highest score, a 220. Young Taylor Zimmerman, last to go, performed to a 219.5, riding Its All About Ruf (Not Ruf At All x Dun Pretty Nifty). With a 217, Lucinda Ross closed her run with a 217 riding TR Platinum Shine (Platinum Vintage x Spooks N Sparks), and George Sternberg Allen – first to ride for the team – scored a clean 214 with Red Dirt Paleface (Pale Face Dunnit x Lost In Tinseltown) under the saddle.
Chef d’Equipe Katie Forest Schroeder was quick to praise the horse and riders: “I couldn’t be prouder of our Senior Non Pro Team for coming all this way and bringing home the gold. Every rider brought their best, and it showed. The team spirit was electrifying and I’m certain made the riders run harder. To represent your country and ride together as a team is an experience we’ll never forget. The horses traveled thousands of miles, and it took countless moving parts and teamwork to get here. I’m beyond grateful to our sponsors, friends, and families for their incredible support. It’s been an honor to serve as Chef d’Equipe for this amazing group, and I’m already looking forward to 2027!”
Italy proudly secured the silver medal demonstrating grit, talent, and teamwork, with three powerful rides – and one unfortunate zero – that placed them firmly on the podium.
Manuel Bonzano posted a strong 220 aboard his Shining Guns N Roses (Colonels Shining Gun x Roses For Einstein); Fabio De Iulio closed his run a half-point behind riding RS Cronos Jac (RS Great Jac Feona x RS Shadow Olena) ridden by Fabio De Iulio – Score: 219.5; Rebecca Folcia closed with a 216 riding LS Dun Blue Berry (Spat A Blue x Hollywood Greatberry) ridden by Rebecca Folcia; Emma Villa and AR Spat Snapper (Spat A Blue x Doc Snapper Bar) closed with a zero score.
Team France secured the bronze medal thanks to a solid collective effort and consistent performances across the board with Alexandre Giarratano’s 216.5 riding The Electric Bandit (Dont Miss My Guns x Electra Stop Ruff; Manon Sergent’s 213.5 riding CDS Denver Olena (Shine Chic Shine x Vickie Del Cielo); Casey Renaud’s 209.5 aboard Sparkin Step (Horizons Big Step x Shining Sparktolena); and Charlotte Reynaud’s 203 with Frankiegoestoholywod (Hollywoodstinseltown x CN Missilenium).
