The 2026 champions of The American Rodeo have been crowned. Five events went to invites, while three athletes who were qualifiers locked down a share of a $2 million bonus and were also awarded the MS Diamonds TX Million Dollar Championship Ring.

Here’s how each event unfolded at Globe Life Field:

1. Bareback Riding, Presented by Boot Barn: Rocker Steiner won his second straight American title after a 90.5-point ride on Secrets Out. Steiner’s winning performance comfortably topped Jess Pope’s 87.25-point mark. Steiner went 85.00 on San Angelo Sam in the Showdown Round to secure his spot in the four-man Championship to Shootout Round.
2. Breakaway Roping, Presented by Kimes Ranch: Rickie Fanning was the final qualifier for the Championship Round after finishing fourth in the Showdown. Then she delivered a blistering 1.71-second run to win the event and claim a three-way share of the $2 million bonus.
3. Team Roping, Presented by Alp Nicotine Patches: Clint Summers and Jade Corkill needed to beat the 4.94-second run posted by defending PRCA world champions Andrew Ward and Jake Long. And that’s exactly what they did, pulling off a seamless 4.83-second run to win The American.
4. Saddle Bronc Riding, Presented by Alp: Sage Newman dominated in Arlington, winning the semi-finals Friday night, taking a share of first place in the Showdown Round and then saving his best ride of the weekend for the Championship. His 89.25-point ride on Larry Culpepper clinched Newman the win and a three-way share of the $2 million bonus, taking his career earnings at The American Rodeo to over $930,000.
5. Steer Wrestling, Presented by New Holland: Gavin Soileau was solid in the first two rounds of the weekend, then delivered his fastest time of the rodeo when it mattered most. His 3.79-second run edged out PRCA world champion Tucker Allen’s 3.83-second mark in the Championship Round. The third qualifier to win Saturday, Soileau also got his piece of the $2.1 million bonus.
6. Tie-down Roping, Presented by Montana Department of Commerce: Kincade Henry was the only sub-7.00 run of the Championship Round, going 6.57 seconds to set a new American Rodeo record and earn a $100,000 payday.
7. Barrel Racing, Presented by Tractor Supply: Hayle Gibson-Stillwell earned the fourth and final spot in the Championship Round and made the most of it, posting a 15.428-second run to win the event. 
8. Bull Riding, Presented by Ragan & Massey: Who else, but Superman? Stetson Wright went 89.0 in the Championship Round, the only qualified ride among the three athletes in the round. Luciano De Castro and Wacey Schalla got bucked off, then Wright stepped in and seized the win. Wright also took home the All-Around title, earning him a record-setting fifth American Rodeo title.
