NRCHA Derby Rein Work Preliminaries Complete in Paso Robles, California

The first of three preliminary events at the National Reined Cow Horse Association Jack & Phoebe Cooke Memorial Derby, presented by Cats Picasso, is complete. The rein work prelims wrapped up for the Open and Non Pro divisions on Sunday, June 9 at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, California. Competitors laid down big scores today, all while keeping their eye on the coveted title of 2019 NRCHA Derby Champion and a share of the more than $340,000 total payout.

Belgian Bullet Bruynseels Takes LGCT Grand Prix Victory in Cannes

Niels Bruynseels (BEL) and his speedy mare Gancia de Muze reinforced the Belgian march on the Championship after a dazzling win in a star-studded jump off in Cannes.
Germany’s Daniel Deusser and Belgium’s Pieter Devos remain locked in an intense duel at the top of the Longines Global Champions Tour overall ranking separated by only 12 points after the 7th leg of the 2019 season.

The 2019 NCHA Sire Statistics: So far, so good!

As the 2019 NCHA Limited Age event year nears midpoint and breeding season nears its end, the 2019 sire statistics, thus far, merit consideration. Metallic Cat, at 14, the youngest living stallion on the Top 10 list of All-Time Leading NCHA Sires, leads 2019 standings by a wide margin – $1,003,806 to Kit Kat Sugar’s $642,153, for second-place among sires of 4-year-olds, and $1,070,508 to Dual Rey’s $454,230, for second-place among sires of 5/6-year-olds. Thirteen stallions, however, share the limelight with Metallic Cat, so far, in 2019.
