National Youth Cutting Horse Association Announces 2021 NYCHA Bravehearts Shootout

The National Youth Cutting Horse Association (NYCHA) is honored and excited to partner with BraveHearts to host the 2021 NYCHA BraveHearts Shootout.
This exciting event will feature our regional champions in both the junior and senior divisions from each of the eight NCHA regions alongside veterans from the BraveHearts program in a team cutting invitational. Each team will consist of a youth regional champion partnered with a veteran, who will be trained by some of the industry’s top trainers from around the country.

International Educational Marketplace Clinics are Going Virtual

AQHA International launches new virtual educational marketplace clinics to bring American Quarter Horse education to all international membership regions.
AQHA International recognizes that even amid a global pandemic, our members are still eager for educational opportunities to learn more about American Quarter Horse health, riding, anatomy and more. DQHA Takes Steps Toward Realignment with AQHA

Under new leadership, the Deutsche Quarter Horse Association makes realignment with AQHA a top priority.

In a series of meetings and votes between March and August 2020, the Deutsche Quarter Horse Association (DQHA) membership made clear its intention to take the necessary steps to realign as an affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association, the world’s largest equine breed organization.

DQHA: The Amendment of the Statute Has Been Notarized – the Data Share Agreement Has Been Signed. The Way To Rejoin the Aqha Is Clear Now!

It’s finally done: on August 18 at 12 a.m., the new DQHA President Thomas Dixon signed the amendment of the statute for the German Quarter Horse Association before a notary. So that, from now on, the "AQHA Breeding Stud Book" will be kept as guideline instead of the previously used ”Original Breeding Stud Book ".

2020 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show

Today's the day! The 2020 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show begins at 8 a.m. CST.

The Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors ages 18 and under around the world competing in classes representing halter, English and western disciplines. More than 5,075 entries from the United States and Canada are competing for 42 world championships, 33 Adequan®Level 2 and 39 Nutrena Level 1 championship titles at this year’s event, July 29 -August 8 at OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

All American Quarter Horse Congress Cancelled

The Ohio Quarter Horse Association regretfully announces the cancellation of the 2020 All American Quarter Horse Congress, scheduled for September 29 - October 25. The uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic simply prevents safely moving forward in Columbus Ohio. The well-being of our workers, exhibitors and attendees is our highest priority and based on the information we have today, the risk is simply too great. New AQHA Classes Available

Six new classes, designed to enhance the member experience, are now available and will be offered at upcoming AQHA-approved shows.

The American Quarter Horse Association launches six new classes, which were member-driven initiatives voted on at past AQHA conventions and on hold pending computer programming. Each class was designed to enhance the showing experience by providing more opportunities for skill development and to build on other classes already offered at shows.

A thrilling day of reined cow horse action on Saturday, June 13, wrapped up the main event at the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Jack and Phoebe Cooke Memorial Derby. Open and non pro riders took center stage at the WestWorld of Scottsdale in sunny Arizona. The top combined score rode away with the prestigious NRCHA Derby Champion title and a share of more than $330,000.

Friday, June 13 - The first leg of the Open and Non Pro finals action, the herd work, is complete at the National Reined Cow Horse Association Jack and Phoebe Cooke Memorial Derby. The clean-slate finals continues on Saturday, June 13, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, with the rein work and fence work. The top combined score will ride away with the prestigious NRCHA Derby Champion title and a share of more than $330,000.
