Stetson Wright makes history while winning Round 2 in bull riding

LAS VEGAS – Add another line to the ever-growing impressive resume of Stetson Wright.
Wright, with his 88-point winning bull ride on Dakota Rodeo’s Pookie Holler, became the youngest cowboy in PRCA history to surpass the $2 million dollar mark in career earnings.
Wright, who is 23 years-old and 240 days, upped his unofficial career earnings to $2,050,520.

Martha Angelone Captures Her First Career Breakaway Roping World Championship

LAS VEGAS – Martha Angelone's mission is complete.

The Stephenville, Texas, cowgirl captured her inaugural breakaway roping world championship after taking care of business Wednesday at the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Teton Ridge.
Angelone, who came into the NFBR with a $37,009 lead in the world standings, kept her grip on her lead to claim the coveted title at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center.

The 30TH Annual IFYR Crowns Eleven New Champions and Awards Upwards of $250,000

SHAWNEE, Okla. --- After one of the most incredible waves of competition, The IFYR (International Finals Youth Rodeo) capped a dominant event by crowning 11 new youth athletes 2022 IFYR Champions. The Event hosted in Shawnee, Oklahoma is one the richest youth rodeos in history, dishing out $250,000 over six-days and featuring over 965 entries from 32 different states.
Kacey Bass (Brenham, Texas) locked down the All-Around Cowgirl after earning more than $5,704 in the event. The Texas cowgirl ran supreme and notched the number six spot in pole bending with a 62.703 average along with a lightning fast 49.103 average on three in the barrel racing.

Texas Rattlers Rider Brito seeks second straight PBR Challenger Series victory with 0.5-point lead ahead of Round 2 on Saturday

OCEAN CITY, MD. – As action got underway for the first-ever PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Challenger Series event in Ocean City, Maryland, the world’s best bull riders and bulls showed up and showed out for Round 1 of the Bulls on The Beach – Ocean City PBR. Setting the tone early, Rafael Jose de Brito (Potirendaba, Brazil) inched a step closer towards winning his second consecutive Challenger Series event, victorious in Round 1 in Ocean City.

2022 Women’s Rodeo World Championship Concludes and Crowns Four Event Champions

Following this week’s electric Women’s Rodeo World Championship (WRWC) event inside the historic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, not only are there new event champions crowned, but the event reached a new level of dominant competition.
 
The ferociously contested Breakaway Roping Event Championship race capped off a slug-fest between Martha Angelone (Stephenville, Texas), and barrel racer/breakaway roper Britta Strain (Bryan, TX).
Backed by a strong showing, including tying for the fastest time of the week, Angelone surged to the top of the breakaway roping leaderboard after a 2.05-second time to win the showdown round, besting Strain’s 2.29-second run. The 3x WRWC qualifier entered the Triple Crown of Rodeo Round alongside Strain and Jenna Dallyn (Nanton, AB).
