Debbie Crafton and Dualin Alittle Time are champions of the NRCHA Non Pro Futurity ®, presented by Discount Tire

The hopes and dreams of 19 finalists in the NRCHA Non Pro Futurity ®, presented by Discount Tire, hinged upon one final fence run—as is customary in reined cow horse competition. Finalists in the Non Pro Futurity opened the day with their rein work in Will Rogers Coliseum here in Fort Worth, Texas, as excitement intensified to see the championship race unfold. The Non Pro rein work was followed by Intermediate Open and Limited Open rein work before action wrapped up with the Non Pro Futurity Finals cow work and the crowning of another champion the $1.2 million dollar National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity ®, presented by Metallic Cat.

Small but Mighty: Small Fry Division

The Small Fry division is a fierce competition for high honors. The competitors? Talented horses with dedicated riders, all under the age of 9 years old. The Small Fry division includes classes in Showmanship, Western Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, and Trail. The High Point award is given to the young rider with the most points from placing in these classes.

Cooper Davis’ Unleash The Beast Event Win and Epic Jess Lockwood Ride in Greensboro Significantly Tighten PBR World Championship Race

With just one regular-season event remaining prior to the 2019 PBR World Finals, the already historically tight World Championship race significantly intensified as 2016 PBR World Champion Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) went a perfect 3-for-3 to win the Unleash The Beast’s Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic inside Greensboro Coliseum. Meanwhile, 2016 PBR World Champion Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Montana) picked a bull who’s been impossible to ride on the premier series, conquering him for 93.75 points to halve Jose Vitor Leme’s (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) lead atop the world rankings.

Morocco Royal Tour – Double blow for Egypt!

Fantastic feat of the Egyptian show jumping team, which not only qualifies for the Tokyo Olympics (together with Qatar), but also did it with by winning the fourth Nations Cup of Rabat in front of strong teams, such as Switzerland, which had held the trophy for two years.

Coliseum Sold Out for Freestyle Reining

The Coliseum was once again packed and filled with excitement at Saturday’s Congress Freestyle Reining. The Freestyle Reining is popular every year at the Congress, and this year was no different. The event has been sold out since September and even sold out standing room. With 18 entries, riders competed their choreographed and musical routines in a performance that is regularly compared to the art of figure skating.
