
The first finalists of the Euro 205,300-Added DeNiroBootCo IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Derbywere determined today with the conclusion of the Euro 33,000-Added IRHA Non Pro Derby and Euro 33,000-Added IRHBA Non Pro Qualifiers.
Italy’s Vittorio De Iulio and Mr Magic Chex (ARC Magic Enterprise x Miss America Chex) held on to the lead captured yesterday in the first section after scoring a 219 in the Level (L)4 and L3 divisions of both the IRHA and IRHBA Derby. “He is an amazing horse that I have been riding for the past two years,” said De Iulio about the 6-year-old stallion owned by Fabio De Iulio and bred by Angelucci Quarter Horses. “He’s always been laid back and passes on his calm to me and that’s probably the reason we’ve collected great results together.” The 23-year-old and his mount’s accolades include the IRHA Futurity L1 Non Pro Reserve Championship, the NRHA European Futurity Non Pro L3, 2, and 1 Championship, and the IRHA Maturity Non Pro Reserve title.
With a 216 score, Georg Wiedenhofer rode his own 7-year-old gelding, bred by Luigi Parise, Don Magnetic (Chic Magnetic x Donnola Chex), to lead the IRHA and IRHBA L2 and L1 Non Pro Derby Qualifiers.
The Non Pro Derby Finals will be held on Friday 31.

Euro 67,000-Added IRHA/Euro 67,000-Added IRHBA Open Derby Qualifier – First Section
Currently leading the IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA L4 Open division with a 223.5 score is French Arnaud Girinon riding Honey First Gunny (NRHA Thirteen Million Dollar Sire Gunner x ARC Honey Chick), an 8-year-old stallion owned by Le Fattorie Di Matilde SRL and bred by Vittorio Rabboni. “I’m really happy with Honey First Gunny’s first show of the season and I would like to thank Vittorio [Rabboni] for giving me the opportunity to ride his horse,” said Arnaud. “He was great in the pen today and I am curious to see how Saturday’s finals will go, just as I am curious to see how his offspring will perform.”

In the IRHA/IRHBA L3 Open, Francesco Barbaagli rode Riccardo Abati’s 5-year-old stallion Steppin To Amarillo (Steppin On Sparks x Frosted Wimped Cream) to the highest score of the day; a 222.
Angelo Benedusi and PL Colonelsmoking CX (NRHA Thirteen Million Dollar Sire Gunner x Nu Dynamite Chex ), an 8-year-old stallion owned by Arianna Aspersi bred by Luigi Parise, scored a 220 for the lead in the IRHA/IRHBA L2 division.
Topping the L1 IRHA Open Derby with a 219.5 score was Austria’s Barbara Bayer riding CGS Shining Gold (NRHA Million Dollar Sire Colonels Shining Gun x Golden Flashy Whiz) owned by Alessandra Zotter-Gagony. The IRHBA Open L1 division saw Andrea Sanfelici and Boomer Little Uno (Mister Little Uno x Make A Boom), owned by Cristian Gorini and bred by Francesca Zerbini, score a 217 for the lead.
The second section will take place on Thursday 30.
The layout of the Reining Pavillion, built under the guidance of Event Director and TFY Executive Director Giancarlo Doardo, welcomed close to 450 horses and over 300 horses entered in the Euro 205,200-Added IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Derby open to 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, and 8-year-old horses. This year the Euro 100,000-Added IRHBA Derby for horses enrolled in the IRHBA (International Reining Horse Breeders Association) incentive program was introduced and is already proving to be a success.
