Stare Żukowice, Poland – The $74,800-added Roleski 4 Spins Futurity kicked off on October 19 at the beautiful Roleski Ranch, owned by reining enthusiast and breeder Katarzyna Roleska who also owns Poland’s first NRHA Million Dollar Sire, Colonels Shining Gun.
The Roleski 4 Spins Circuit officially closed the show season and year-end Champions were also determined.
The $58,500-added 3-year-old Open Futurity
With a big 224 score, Łukasz Czechowicz won the $50,000-added Level 4 Open Futurity Championship with Coded N Maryjane between the reins. The flashy American Quarter Horse mare sired by NRHA Million Dollar Sire Electric Code out of Ruffed Up Spook, is owned by Sabina Pavlova.
“She’s a great mare, especially considering her age,” said Czechowicz, head trainer at Roleski Ranch. “Katarzyna [Roleska] bought her as a yearling at the [Markel] NRHA Futurity Sale and she was then sold to a customer this year. This was her second time in the show pen as the first time was at the Austrian Futurity where we were Reserve Champions. I could not be happier with the result and I’m very excited to ride her at the upcoming IRHA Futurity.”
Rafal Dolata rode Whoos My Daddy to a 220.5 score to win the $5,000-added Level (L)3 and the $2,500-added L2 Open Futurity Championships. The talented American Quarter Horse palomino mare, sired by NRHA Three Million Dollar Sire Shiners Voodoo Dr out of Miss Marilyn Morikas, is owned by Sebastian Bajer. The pair also conquered the $50,000-added L4 Open Reserve Championship.
“She was simply fantastic; I’m so happy for her since I’ve been riding her from the start and she’s always been calm and fun to ride. I’m very thankful to the owner for the trust he put in my program. Our next stop will be the Italian Reining Horse Association Futurity in Cremona… I just can’t wait,” said the Polish professional.
Half point behind, NRHA Million Dollar rider Rudi Kronsteiner took reserve honors in the Level 3 aboard the American Quarter Horse stallion Spook N Design (NRHA Eight Million Dollar sire Smart Spook x Designed With Shine), owned by Jenny Kronsteiner-Nixdorf.
Winning the $1,000-added Level 1 Open Futurity Championship was Matus Kuzma riding his own American Quarter Horse mare Gloria Gunnit Again (Gunner Dun It Again x Gay Barnic Chic). The duo scored a 212.5 to claim the $2,500-added Level 2 Open Reserve Championship as well.
“I’ve been riding this amazing mare since she was 2-year-old,” shared the Slovakian rider. “She’s great, very calm in the show pen, and tonight we had good circles and good stops. This is our last show for this year, then the goal is to show her at next year’s 4-year-old futurities and derbies.”
Reserve honors in the L1 with a 209.5 score went to Angelika Dobesova and What A Smart Crome (What A Wave x Custom Olena Chic), owned by Zuzana Dobesova.
The $8,500-added 3&4-year-old Non Pro Futurity
Irena Grygiel of Poland and her own American Quarter Horse mare CSG Exsallypress (NRHA Million Dollar Sire Colonels Shining Gun x Lil Juice) were crowned 3&4-year-old $5,000-added Level (L)4, $2,000-added L3 and $1,000-added L2 Non Pro Futurity Champions with a 215.5.
“We just came back from the NRHA Germany Breeders Futurity. I purchased my mare at the beginning of the year, had 4 days off and today I rode her for the second time after the last show, so I’m really happy about today’s result, and we’re now heading to Cremona for the IRHA Futurity and then I hope for a great Derby season next year. Rafal Dolata is my trainer, and I want to thank him, my parents, my whole team and everyone who’s helping me,” she said.
The L4 Reserve Championship with a 213 score went to Anna-Maria Zehetbauer of Austria and SS Pretty Nifty (NRHA Three Million Dollar Sire A Sparkling Vintage x Custom Nifty Nic), owned by Zeidelhof Reining Horses.
Posting a 212.5 score, Michaela Mališová of the Czech Republic and her own American Quarter Horse gelding Maximus Dream Hero (NRHA Nine Million Dollar Sire Magnum Chic Dream x Shiney Tinseltown), won the 3&4-year-old $500-added Level 1 Non Pro Futurity title as well as the L3 and L2 Reserve Championships.
“This is our last show for this year; he’s 4-years-old so this is also our last futurity season. I’m really enjoying this event, my horse was great and I want to thank my trainer Jonáš Bujnoch for his work. We’ll now take a break but we’re thinking about showing at the European Derby and the Italian Derby next year.”
Second place honors in L1 after scoring a 207 went to Czech Jana Flokova and her own Let You Love Me (Mercedes Rooster x Pretty Little Steps).
