2026 World Reining Continental Championship: Thrills and Chills at BO Ranch as Germany Tops the Medal Leaderboard

Team competition concluded on the second day of competition at BO Ranch, located on the outskirts of Paris, France, where the inaugural World Reining Continental Championship (WRCC) is held, with  the Non Pro Riders, Junior Riders, Young Pro Riders, and Open Riders performing their best reining maneuvers with the goal of stepping on the podium.

Non Pro Riders
Germany added yet another gold to their medal board with Georgia Wilk and Pretty Whiz Chic, Emanuel Gebert and Wimpys Wanna Dance, Peter Ettinger and Smart Kidd Josephine, Luisa Von Beverfoerde and La Marka De Spark rode to a total high score of 651.
Silver medal honors went to Team Italy who closed with a 642.5 score. 2025 World Reining Non Pro Individual Champions, Fabio De Iulio and RS Cronos Jac, posted a 220.5 – the highest individual score of the competition. Conquering the second step of the podium along with De Iulio were Manuel Bonzano and Dreamin The Cash, Rocco Toscani and DH Capitan Shiningun, and Sofia Scialanga riding Shining Boomer.
Closing the podium two points behind was Team France with Alexandre Giarratano and The Electric Bandit, Charlene Leseur and Rock With A Sail, Gregory Morat and Artemide Spatwhiz 76, and Amandine Bonte and Doctor Orders.

Junior Riders
Italy claimed their first gold medal of the day with Margot Leonardi and Sailinginfirstplace, Martina Zeni and RZ SG, Manuele Bonzano and Mr Shines, Edoardo Milano and Magnetically, bringing their total score up to an impressive 646.
Switzerland earned their silver medal six points behind the Italian team thanks to Laila Staub and Highland Gun, Aita Staub and As Just In Time, Emelie Schneiter and CS Wallawallaboom, and Nicola Yannis Schoelly aboard ND Miss Vintager.
Once the last horse left the arena, with a 628 total score, the bronze medal was for Team France composed of Chjara Maria Gaffory and At Wimpys Bluesecret, Victoire Molla Guisset and Whizkey Coated Kiss, Joana Sequeira and Spooky Smoking Gun, Lilou Caillouet and RR Double Gun.

Young Pro Riders GMC Team
The second gold medal of the day for Germany went to the Young Non Pro Riders GMC Team. Lucie Egenter and BB Gotta Gold Tinsel, Joline Kamphuis and One Shining Dream, Franziska Wallner and Captain Chex Sparrow, and Celine Beisel and ND Platinum Card closed with a total score of 649.
Once again stepping on the second step of the prestigious podium was Team Italy with Francesca Bianchi and In Like Sparks, Mattia Malagnino and Spark N Tag, Francesca Fino and AC Like Flinn Out, and Alessio Pizzuti and Vintage Gun Model closing with a 638.
Elias Van Nueten and ND A Dance Wiz Walla, Silke Hendrix and JX Tex Sixty Six, and Jody Fonck riding JJ Alilloveneverhurt, closed with a total team score of 633 bringing home the Bronze Medal for Belgium.

Open Riders SPOOKS GOTTA WHIZ Team
Team Italy rode to a solid 657.5 score to win the gold medal thanks to the strong performance of Nico Sicuro and Gunner Be Step who closed with a 220.5, Stefano Ferri and Spider Whiz who performed to a 220, Giovanni Masi De Vargas and Slide Like Jac and Mattia Nadalini and Captain Rooster Jac both riding to a 217. 
Claiming the silver medal was Team Belgium with NRHA $1 Million Rider Arnaud Girinon riding Dancer Monkey, NRHA $3 Million Rider Bernard Fonck aboard One Spook, and NRHA $1 Million Rider Ann Fonck and The New Classic closing with a 217.5 score; Kim Girinon aboard Miss Maggie Brown performed to a 216.5 bringing the team score to a 652.5 total.
Team Germany’s Patrick Goeschl and Nailed Itt, Lars Suechting and Feonalikesthemagic, Elias Ernst and Tinkers Chic Gun, and Alexander Ripper riding JJ Spooking Voodoo claimed the bronze with a 647.5 total score.

Team competition also included qualification for the Individual Competition in all the divisions which will be held on Friday and Saturday.
Shows under the World Reining rules place special emphasis on clean sport. Protocols are put in place for medication and animal welfare policies to ensure the best environment for the horses.
